I know there are people there who don’t believe in the power of prayer. I respect that. What’s a bunch of words going to do, right? But I need you to understand, it’s not just the words. I, myself, have never been a religious person. I think many religious activities are not worth my time -but praying, it’s the simplest thing you can do, it won’t take much time.
Don’t you think that maybe it’s not the religion, but the people coming together that’s making the difference? Like the story of the feeding of the 5000. I may get the number wrong because I’m not religious, but I know the story -and it’s a beautiful story.
You might not believe that there is a higher being out there, but at least believe in the lower billions of humans on this earth that, despite the distance and racial difference, still manage to come together. I’d like you to imagine if no one cared to unite. Even if it’s just through prayer, at least there’s still proof that people aren’t all that destructive and still care enough even if they’re sitting in front of their laptops and all they can do is spread the news and keep each other updated and giving each other strength and support. Donations are wonderful, yes, but no one is going to donate if no one knows what’s happening.
If you don’t believe in religion, at least believe in its people.

I believe in both.
Wait, how is praying “spreading the news”? Why not… y’know… spread the news?
